Three Types Of Performers

I want you to draw a picture in your mind. Three picture actually.

Three different ladies. Three different types of singers.

A Friday night bar band lead singer. A Sunday morning church worship leader. A headliner on a nationwide concert tour.

The Friday night singer is just looking for a chance to use her gifts while making a few bucks and having a good time.

The Sunday morning singer is using her gifts but believes she is meant to convey a message to others that is much greater than herself.

The concert singer is using her gifts, but also maximizing exposure and earning potential. But she needs to make as much money as possible because she doesn’t get paid until she’s taken care of her staff. The more popular she is, the larger the staff she has to take care of. And she really cares about taking care of her staff.

One is just doing it for fun and hopefully making enough to cover the cost. One is doing it for more or less little cost but hopefully conveying a very large message. One is doing it to maximize the profit for herself and take care of a lot of people in the process.

All three are gifted and have a love for the art. All three take a different approach to the scope of the work involved.

You may not be a talented singer, performer or anything close, but you may be running a business or trying to be a messenger with similar ambitions. You get to decide which approach you want to take. One as an amateur just looking to have a good time. One as a not quite professional but looking to decimate a good message. One as a pro who has to do this for a living and is focused on maximum success for the profit of many.
